Abu Sayeid returns to BAS

Abu Sayeid (Om El Abadan (imp – exp) X  Sanroblee Marmara by Cool Hand Luke (imp)), 20 year old purebred Arabian stallion has returned to “Bannister Springs”. Sy spend approximately 10 years with my good friends, Phill Ryan and Phil Wild of Hideaway Farms.

Sy had a distinguished, but unlucky show career. A multi-champion when shown by Charley and Richard Sharman, he was an Australian Top Ten as a colt and a Top Five Stallion at the East Coast Championships. A broken pastern bone forced his premature retirement.

However, he has been a first rate breeding stallion for both Peoria Arabians and Hideaway Farms.

We look forward to his future progeny at Bannister American Saddelbreds.

New website, new Foals AT BAS

Our new breeding venture combines the joined philosophies and bloodlines of Rosemary from Ballalaba American Saddlebreds and Charley from Peoria Arabians.

With the return of Charley’s stallion, Abu Sayeid (Om El Abadan (imp-exp) X Sanroblee Marmara by Cool Hand Luke), the decision was made to breed Arabian derivatives using the outstanding movement, physicality and temperament that American Saddlebreds offer with the type and refinement that Sy as the epitome of the classic Arabian offers.

In the USA the cross is referred to as the National Showhorse.

This will be the future direction of Bannister Arabian Saddlebreds.

And we think the future is bright.
